Obituary of Galena Letendre
Galena was born on November 10, 1924 in Kelly Lake, B.C. She passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 in Beaverlodge, Alberta at the age of 85 years. She was a long time resident of Hythe, Alberta.
Galena loved people; she was very generous and treaded everyone the same, not ever showing favouritism.
Galena is survived by her children; Evelyn Belcourt, Robbie Letendre, Joseph Letendre, Marlene Letendre, her brothers; Charlie Calliou, George Calliou and Clifford Calliou. Her sister Liz Calliou, 27 Grandchildren, numerous Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
She was predeceased by her; husband James, two sons, Howard and Ronnie, parents, John and Eva Calliou, sister Irene, brothers, Joe and Lawrence.
Galena will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. A Wake was held on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Kelly Lake Community Centre, Kelly Lake, BC.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Kelly Lake Community Centre; Fr. Michael Anyasoro officiated; interment followed in the Kelly Lake Cemetery.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Galena
