Obituary of Mary Lillian Therese Scott
Therese was born and raised on the Beardy's and Okamasis Reserve in Central Saskatchewan. Her mother passed away when she was only nine years old.
Therese attended the St. Michael's Residential School until she was sixteen years old. She then began to travel all over Canada and the U.S., working various places and attending pow-wows. She would travel anywhere to dance all night long at round dances. Along the way she gave birth to six children and adopted many others. She made friends every where she went.
She was always very culture and family orientated. She was known for her jolly nature, always smiling, laughing and poking fun at everyone, even strangers. She always had a quick witty remark that made everyone laugh, no matter how serious the situation. No matter what, she was always very outspoken, saying whatever was on her mind. She never held anything back.
Near the end she enjoyed spending time surrounded by family and loved ones, giving each of her grandchildren and special nickname. You could always catch her watching CSI and Murder She Wrote or indulging in her many action heroes. She was also a devoted reader of the Coffee Talk Express, she never missed one issue, and she never let us throw one out.
She had a lot of family and many friends who loved and respected her. She will forever be greatly missed.
Therese leaves behind her six children Adrienne (Frank) Generaux; Russle (Candice) Scott; Lavernne Bird; Angela (Travis) Micha; Angela Scott & Dennis Drover; Deana Scott & Dan David.
A funeral service was held in Rosthern, Saskatchewan. Therese was laid to rest in the Beardy's Reserve Cemetery, Saskatchewan.
