Wayne Charles Remfert

Obituary of Wayne Murray Charles Remfert

Wayne Murray Charles Remfert was born in Calgary, Alberta on February 9, 1954. He was the oldest son of Jim and Eunice Remfert and the older brother to Greg, Tim and Terry. Wayne had two sons, Clayton and Wayne Jr. Wayne lived most of his life in Hudson's Hope, he worked on both dams. Wayne was a man of many talents, he could fix anything that needed to be repaired. If it was an old washing machine, he could find the parts he needed and he could get it running again. He had a talent for working on vehicles and keeping things in good repair. Wayne was the happiest when he spent time in the outdoors, he loved to fish, hunt and he had a passion for hunting Grizzly Bears. When Wayne hunted, he made sure that he used every piece of the animal, wasting nothing. Wayne Jr. recalls his dad really liking Wolves and also that his dad loved all animals, especially his dog China. They shared their home with cats, dogs and birds. Wayne raised Budgie Birds and Cockatiels. They have also always had a love for horses. One of the things Wayne loved to do was cook. Tina said that for sure Wayne was a better cook than her. They agreed that he excelled in cooking Spaghetti and Pizza. In fact, Wayne not only baked Pies, he also entered Pie baking contests. Wayne also loved to listen to music, it didn't matter what kind of music he enjoyed it all, and was able to play Bass Guitar. Wayne enjoyed watching TV. He checked the weather channel often and really loved any show that was about animals and especially enjoyed the show Animal Planet and Wild TV. Wayne's favourite time of the year was fall…the least was winter! Wayne passed away peacefully on August 11, 2009 in Fort St John, B.C.
