Obituary of William Rex Ball

William Rex Ball was born in Greenfield Park, Quebec on December 6th, 1923 to Harry and Eileen Ball. As a young man Bill served in the Second World War. When he returned Bill wanted to explore Canada which then brought him to the Peace River region in 1958. Bill worked many different jobs such as, construction on the Bennett Dam, Western Supplies, and he also owned his own Janitorial Company for a number of years, but his main passion was the farm in Farmington, B.C that he started to build in 1965. Bill met the love of his life, Sharon in Hudson's Hope B.C. on July 1st, 1968. In which they spent the next 41 years together. In 1971, Bill and Sharon adopted the Auger children, four boys and one girl and raised all of them until they left home. Dad had many good attributes, he taught his children what hard work was, but also encouraged us to stay in school and always supported us in what ever we took on in life. Dad loved the animals and taught many people how to ride and train horses. Bill enjoyed the farm so much that he waited until the age of 74 to retire. He made the decision to sell the farm and moved to a property just outside of Dawson Creek. He loved and cared deeply for his family right to the end. He also loved his nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill leaves to mourn; Wife; Sharon Ball, Sisters; Blanche Stephens and Doreen Rees, Sons; Glenn (Ronda) Auger, Wayne Auger, Joe Auger (Heidi), Dean Auger, and Daughter; Janet Auger.
