Obituary of Donalda Webber
Donalda Webber (nee Mario) passed away on October 16, 2008 at the age of 55 years in Dawson Creek after a short battle with cancer. Donalda was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on December 1, 1952 to George and Grace Mario.
Donalda and Del moved to Dawson Creek from the Edmonton area 2 years ago to operate Wright's Food Services. Their children joined them shortly after.
Don was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her first priority was her family, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren playing Uno and board games. She had a passion for antiques surrounding herself with them in her home. She was a very creative person, which showed in her home, her art, and her beautiful gardens.
She had an unyielding zest for life, and endeared herself to all those she met and who cared for her with her wonderful sense of humour. Her spirituality was woven into her daily life.
She is predeceased by her father George Mario, and leaves to mourn her devoted husband Del of 34 years, her son Chris (Christie) and their children Christian, Joshua, and Ethan, her daughter Courtney (Mike) Dias, and their daughter Dakota all of Dawson Creek, her mother Grace Mario, sisters Grace (Gerry) Farthing, Lorinda (Guy) Johns, Dody (Rick) Putz, Marian (Keith) Anderson, Annette (Gary Bunz) Mario, and brothers Chris (Pam), Greg (Karen), and Mike (Terry) Mario, her loving family by marriage, parents, Melvin and Lucille Webber, sister-in-law Lorraine (Emile) Berube, Lee (Debbie) Webber, and Dean and Sheila Webber, and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
For friends so wishing, donation can be made in memory of Don to the Canadian Cancer Society. The family is grateful for the care and support of the physicians and nurses at the Spinal Unit of the Vancouver General Hospital, the palliative care program and the Medical Unit at the Dawson Creek Regional Hospital.
