Obituary of Rick Johnson

Richard was born on June 28, 1959 in Pouce Coupe, B.C. he passed away suddenly on December 29, 2008 in Burnaby, B.C. at the age of 49 years. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 1:00 pm from Reynars Funeral Chapel, Pastor Lee Stevenson officiated; interment will be at a later date. Rick was the 9th child born to Frances and Tony Johnson. He grew up and attended school in Dawson Creek. Rick enjoyed camping, quading and traveling. He made a trip to Alaska, two trips across Canada and a trip to Australia and New Zealand. He moved to the Lower Mainland in 1986 and worked there in the movie industry and made many friends there. Rick's door was always open, family and friends were very important to him. When he had his house in Surrey because of his friendly, hospitable nature his home soon became the weekend gathering spot for family and friends. Rick was predeceased by his sister Darlene in 1983; father, Tony in 1993; his mother Frances in 1994; nephew Dwain and brother Ken in 1995; and sister Brenda in 2003. Rick will be sadly missed by his brothers Wayne (Linda); Brain (Carolyn); Dale (Brenda); Dan (Liz); his sisters, Penny (Rick); and Sandy; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
