Obituary of Kenneth Douglas Allan Watson

Kenneth Douglas Allan Watson, better known as Kenny was born in Abbotsford, B.C. on February 11, 1944 at 10:57 am to Charles Allan Watson II and Kathleen Ruth Watson (Nee: Maxted) Kenny's younger years were spent on the Watson Family farm where many skills at farming were taught. As he became a young man it seems his shenanigans became too much for his parents to handle, so whether he was old enough or not, his father sent him to the army for some much needed refinement and education. His recollection of his education was learning how to order beer in different languages, how to drive trucks and the jury is still on the refinement issue. After his adventures in the army, he moved to Chetwynd around 1965 to find work. Kenny's love of driving gave him the opportunity to work for many companies and men he respected in the Chetwynd area, to name a few; Aim Trucking, Jack Young, Charlie Lasser, Lou Surerus, Patty Gayse, Les Wood. Driving was not just a way to make money, it was the adventure and chance to experience new things…like logging. Although logging was not his truck of choice he did attempt this new experience with gusto. Mind you, this experience only happened once, much to the relief of the Young's who owned the truck and to the Lasser family who almost lost the home they thought Kenny wanted to make a drive thru out of. I believe this was his only accident in the history of his driving record. Along with many memories, Papa will be remembered for "Na Nu Na Nu", the famous "Pull My Finger", and giving each of his grandchildren a special nickname. Kenny is predeceased by his parents; Al and Ruth Watson and his step-son, Kiven Greg Kruger. He is survived by his children; Trudy (Howard) Logan, Calvin (Roxie) Napoleon, Adina (Eugene) Napoleon, Linda (Les) Haggard, Tammy Watson, Alana Watson, Jon (Laurelle) Watson. Grandchildren; Clayton, Erica (Bernard), Michael, Matthew, Tyron Sochan, Nathan (Emily), Frankie, Kaylin & Krystina, Ashley & Christopher, Jamie & Emily, Tyler, Brodie and Kyana. Great-grandchildren; Damien, Skyler, ncola, Mathew, Mary, Dyllan Brothers; Raymond & Norman, Sisters; Lavina, Linda, Laureen, Leone, Lillabeth and the many nieces, nephews, family and friends that will miss Kenny, but each was left with cherished memories that can be held close to their hearts. Kenny was taken from us on December 18, 2008 at the age of 64 years. A Memorial Service was held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Chetwynd, B.C. Pastor Bill Evans officiated. Interment will be held at a later date. Very Respectfully Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
