Obituary of Valis May Grant
Corky (Valis) Grant, a long time resident of Chetwynd, B.C. passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, January 10, 2014 in Chetwynd, at the age of 85 years.
Valis May Fraser was born on November 25, 1928 in Tate, Saskatchewan to parents Ted and Mabel Fraser. She was the younger sister to Iris, and later the older sister to Loris and Terry Anne.
Corky was predeceased by her loving husband Stew, her mother Mabel Troughton, her father Ted Fraser, and sisters Iris Drake and Loris Fraser.
Corky is survived by her four daughters, five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one sister.
Corky's family honored her life on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Chetwynd Fellowship Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Evans officiated. Interment followed in the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery, Chetwynd, B.C.
