As I wrote to Erhart this morning, the Kreuzingers and their extended family have always been, and continue to be, an inspiration to me. Whether that be critically thinking about ideas and issues, taking social responsibility, understanding the political implications of our actions or simply how to roll up one's sleeves and work hard.
My time visiting the farm, getting to know family and telling my stories of those experiences to my children - and others - are something I value. So I find it sad to think that one of those links to the past that is helping to create our future is now broken.
Although the distance is far from others who will be paying their respects to Gerry this weekend, we’ll be near in thoughts to those who knew him when we raise a glass in our home to remember all that he brings to us, even now.
May you hold dear to your heart your treasured memories.
With love from Shannon, Rob, Jayden, Kayla, Holly, Chelsea and Travis
