Obituary of Krystina Mary Lee-ann Haggard

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Krystina Haggard who was taken from us suddenly on Friday, March 17, 2017 in Moberly Lake, B.C. at the age of 15 years. Krystina loved the outdoors. Whether it be mushroom picking, ice fishing, or cruising around on her quad, she loved being outside. She was also a hard worker. Her mother Linda's work ethic was inspirational, and she instilled that same ethic in her girls. Krystina worked hard and focused on whatever goals were in her crosshairs. Whether she was earning money to fix her quad, tablet, go on the next trip or even help fundraise for Code Blue, her dedication and determination were unmatched. There was nothing stopping her, she did what had to be done and didn't complain at all. Anyone who knew Krystina, knew her love of sports. She especially loved basketball. She earned the Hustle Award in her Eighth Grade season. Krystina had many loves in the world, and somewhere along the way she decided that she wanted to either be a police officer or a vet. Courage, bravery and an innate desire to help others are all qualities that cannot be taught, which are looked for in police officers. Krystina held all of these, and most definitely demonstrated them in the last hours of her life. A Wake was held on Monday, March 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Saulteau First Nations Community Centre, Moberly Lake, B.C. A Celebration of Life was held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Chetwynd Recreation Centre, Chetwynd, B.C. Pastor Bill Evans officiated. Interment will be at a later date.
