Obituary of Stephen Eugene Croswell

With sadness we announce the unexpected passing of husband, father, grandfather and brother Steve Croswell. Steve was born in the Hythe Hospital and raised on the family farm at Homestead, Alberta. Steve worked alongside his Dad on the farm, but the weekends were for carousing, dancing, chasing girls and generally harassing his friends and family.
In 1974 all that changed when he became smitten with his future wife, Janie, at a Valentine’s dance in Dawson Creek. Together they have one son, Randal James, to make their family complete.
Steve and his Dad kept busy working and employing slashing crews for the oil and gas industry. Following Percy’s passing Steve worked at keeping the South Peace supplied with the very best of snacks and ice creams.
Steve dreamt of the days he could return to the northwest coast for salmon and halibut fishing. He enjoyed hanging out at the lake in their trailer and picked up a new pastime of riding his trike with his Biker Chick Jane. Of his one or two aggravations, mowing their huge yard and keeping it perfect topped the list!
Steve took pride in his son Randy’s achievements and took joy watching his beautiful granddaughters, Kaylee and Ryann, grow up. Helping with projects or cutting winter wood with Randy was on-going.
Steve was predeceased by his parents, Bette and Percy Croswell, and his infant grandson, Jessie Percy.
Left to miss his teasing and love is his wife Jane, son Randy (Barb), granddaughters Kaylee and Ryann, awesome sister Audrey, sister Marg, his dirtbag nieces, Christine and Kerry and his friends who all knew his sense of humour and kind heart.
With Respect to Steve’s wishes no formal funeral service will be held. Interment at a later date.
