Colleen, Murray & family...I was saddened to read about your mom's passing. I always enjoyed our little talks when she would come into my office at ATCO Electric when she looked after our landscaping. Condolences to you and your family. Sharon Hollingshead

No matter our age, we are never ready to lose a parent. I did not know Aunt Eleanor for very many years, but i always found her to be a loving and welcoming woman. She will be missed.

To Colleen and the family
I’m so sorry to hear of this beautiful woman’s passing ! It was a honour to know her when I was in grande Prairie for 14 years ! Not a day that I have seen her there wasn’t a smile on her face or a hug she would give , she loved seeing little kids come to church and greeted them all and then asking Mom how she was . She made me feel welcome and I always had to make sure I went and said hi , when I had my boys she was right there to lend a hand if I needed it and always smiles on her face and after church was over we had time to chit chat . It made me sad to have to say good bye to her and Colleen when me and my family decided to leave Alberta to move back to nfld . I hugged her so tight and thanked her for being like a mom to me while I was there . I cried and told her I will miss seeing her , me and Colleen wrote letters for while to keep in touch and my first question was how was Mom ? Then Facebook friends we became seeing pics of each other and Mom looked so good . I’m deeply sorry for your loss but she is still in your hearts and she is watching over you all forever . She had amazing life and memories that won’t ever fade . God bless her and thank you all for allowing me to have had her in my life . Love you Colleen and miss you sweetie. To the rest of the family I’m sorry for your loss and live everyday with her memory by your side . Love wanda & roy and Nathaniel and Ethan little burnt bay nfld .

I would like to offer my condolences to Eleanor's family. I met Eleanor 10 years ago when Weedbusters became the preferred vendor of ERCO Worldwide. She was such a delight and I enjoyed my chats with her immensely. Her energy and enthusiasm was irresistible and I admired her cheerful personality. I will miss this wonderful lady!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family! I remember the card games our parents used to play, us hiding so we could have a sleep over. Your mom was a very special person, she left a lasting impact on me, she showed me that life can be tough but you can still smile through it.

Eleanor's passing is extremely saddening news, however the obituary written for her is a fantastic tribute to the beautiful and caring person Eleanor was. A force of nature indeed, Eleanor was a warm and gentle breeze in the spring, someone who could take away winter's chill with a smile. Even after the many Weed Inspector and Spray Crew Workshops Eleanor attended to acquire CEU's and keep her Pesticide Applicator's certificate, she was always the most attentive participant, a life-long learner keen to improve her knowledge and abilities. It doesn't surprise me that Weed Busters was a success and set records as the longest lasting contractor, once you had Eleanor and Colleen on your side, how could you ask for more?
Eleanor will be deeply missed, I think she had to go on though, there was more exploring and learning to do.
My condolences to all Eleanor's family and friends, I would want to be with you for her service, but Eleanor would understand, I have a commitment of my own to acquire more knowledge and continue learning.

I first met Eleanor in 1978 when she was the Agricultural Fieldman for the MD of Spirit River. She was smiling everytime I greated her, she was always willing to help in anyway she could and her legacy as a "Weed buster" was inspiring! Though we did not meet often, she always found a few minutes to visit when we did.
My condolences to the family, she will be deeply missed.

Such sad news to hear of Eleanor’s passing.
I remember being at her and Ray’s place as a child, she was so full of life and loved all things!
Then I remember her at Weyerhaeuser so much fun, loved her job. And yes a big smile...always..
Condolences to the family.
