Obituary of Dennis Pocock

Dennis Pocock, a long-time resident of Dawson Creek, BC passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in the Dawson Creek & District Hospital at the age of 59 years.

 

Denis was born in Clinton, Ontario on Jan 12, 1959. Dennis started driving truck when he was 17 years old and he moved to Dawson Creek in 1979 for work. It was there he met his loving wife whom, after a brief dating period, became her loving husband and best friend of 35 years.

 

Dennis drove truck for 40 plus years until he became sick and was focusing on his health. Dennis loved driving and did it when he could.

 

Dennis and his beloved wife would travel to Las Vegas once or sometimes twice a year. He loved to go to Vegas and spend time away having fun. He also loved spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren Lily and Jacobi. He loved them so much.

 

Dennis enjoyed life, he lived, he laughed, he loved. He will be missed dearly.

 

Until we meet again, my father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

 

Denis will be dearly missed by his children: daughter; April, son; Myles and granddaughters; Jacobi and Lily, and pet dog, Pip. His siblings; David, Larry (Leslie), Steven (Suzanne) and Allan (Lucy). Mother; Joyce Pocock and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends, brother and sister in laws.

 

Denis was predeceased by his wife Terry Pocock and father Herb Pocock. Also, mother and father in law Harvey and Mary Jules.

 

A Celebration of Dennis’ life was held on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 1:00 pm from Reynars Funeral Chapel, Pauline Haycock officiated. Dennis was laid to rest beside his loving wife Terry, in the Adams Lake Sexqeltqin Cemetery.
