Obituary of Delores Paradowski

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Delores Ella Katharine Paradowski, a long-time resident of Dawson Creek, BC. Delores passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the age of 77 years.

Delores was born October 5, 1942 in the Pouce Coupe Hospital, the fourth of seven children and spent her early years living in Arras outside Dawson Creek.  In September 1960, Delores married Louis Paradowski and relocated to the Sweetwater/Farmington area where she lived happily with her family until her passing.

After surviving a breast cancer diagnosis in 1995, Delores volunteered for many years with the Canadian Cancer Society and received the Volunteer Award of Excellence in honour of her dedicated service to the organization.  Delores was a valued employee of several local businesses including Finning, Marie Chilton, Notary and Wright’s Cold Storage

Delores is survived by her children; Donna, Laura (Blain) and Beverly McCoy (Kelly), grandsons Philip and Rory (Breanna) McKinley, her partner Jan Woldike, his children Kristine Trinh (Sunny), Barret, grandchildren Kylan and Jaslyn, siblings; Linda Ash and Carol Mayer, as well as extended family and friends.

Delores was predeceased by her husband, Louis Paradowski, son Gordon and parents; Merle and Katherine Moorman, siblings Elmer, Vernon, Raymond, and Brian Moorman.

A Memorial Service was held on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at 1:00 PM, at Reynars Funeral Chapel, Dawson Creek, BC. Pauline Haycock officiated. Interment will be at the later date.
