Obituary of Caylen Kalish

Our loving and talented Caylen Charles Robert Kalish, a resident of Tumbler Ridge, BC, left us on October 31, 2019, in Tumbler Ridge, at the age of 28 years.

Caylen will be forever remembered by his mother Crystal Anne Irving and Luke Cronin. He will be missed by daughter, Acacia Kalish and her mother, Lori Jolley. Caylen was a dear brother to his sisters; Lyndsy Anne, Mariah Marie and Abigail Crystal, and uncle to Charlii, Zavii, Xzander, Sophia, Bailii, and Torii. He will be fondly remembered by all his many aunts and uncles; Terri. Bobby, Jonus, Karen, Zebulun, Chrissy, Jody, David, Aaron, Jeffery, Tristan, Kyle, Carolina, Katie, Cody, Ivan, Nancy, Darlene, Kevin, closest cousins; Brenden and Trevor as well as numerous other cousins; his dear friend Chris Tabor, and his grandparents; Robert and Liz Irving, and Beverly Book.

Caylen is remembered for the deep compassion and love that he never hesitated to demonstrate to his family and friends, on top of being welcoming, personable and easy to talk to.

Caylen expressed many of his thoughts and emotions through his music and art. He was a self-taught musician that surpassed his talented uncles before he could even ride a bike. His art was a self-expression from the very deepest areas of his heart, and every piece was an opportunity to get closer to knowing who he was. Caylen’s natural and limitless imagination and creativity was something most people could not even fathom.

A Celebration of Life for Caylen was held at Club 55 North, Tumbler Ridge Golf & Country Club on Sunday, November 10, 2019 from 12pm - 2pm. Caylen will later be laid to rest with his father Charles Edward Kalish in Wroxeter, Ontario.
