So sorry for your family loss. I knew Patrick early in our lives. When we were both living in North Vancouver. I enjoyed his big bright smile and quick wit. He was a gentle soul
I was blessed to know him

There are tears streaming down my face at the shock and sadness of this news. I have known him since we were teenagers and he was always full of energy, stories, warmth and concern. Always, always, he was happy to see you. The last time I saw him it was a surprise meeting on the back stairs at the Art Gallery with his son and girlfriend at the time. I am going to miss him. Big hugs to you all.

I met Pat when we were both at Northern Lights College. I remember many laughs over lunchtime and lively debates during class. After we received our diplomas we lost touch but reconnected through our jobs later on. Pat was still quick to smile and laugh. My thoughts are with your family.

When I was in Dawson Creek as a young woman, Pat played my "long, lean and lanky" husband in the Dionysus Theatre Production of L'il Abner! He was fantastic! Sweet and kindhearted and generous always. My favourite memory tho has to be when I mistakenly used the men's washroom at the Prince George Boston Pizza a year or so later. I realized my error when I came out of a stall and saw the urinals. Quickly washing my hands, I thought I could get out before anyone saw. Nope. Who should walk in but Pat McPhail! Head down, I didn't recognize him, but he knew me right away... "Corinne?" My head snapped up... we were so happy to see each other. 4 hours from home, I didn't expect to run into anyone I knew. So there we were hugging and chatting and laughing in the boys room. So awkward when the next man came in... still makes me laugh today.
So sorry for your loss, McPhail family. Pat was a great guy!

So sad to hear of Pat's passing. We had spoke a few times and he always had time for you.
We went to school together.
Pat was a kind caring soul. Seemed more like family than a friend. He will be missed. Please say hello to Larry for me Pat!
