My condolences on the loss of Jeffrey.
I am a distant cousin who lives in Kelowna. I am writing up the history of the family and found this while searching. I am a granddaughter of Mary, Annie Borodula's older sister. My brother and I went to Ukraine to the village where Annie and Mary are from and had a very interesting experience.
I met Tola and her daughter Donna many years ago

I had the pleasure of spending 14 years in Jeff's company. He was a brutally honest man, and a great friend, he always had advice for me, somewhat of what an older brother might do.. We have definitely went through some rough and fun times together.
They say everything happens for a reason. Nothing could be further from the truth.
He had some many things going in his favor lately. I was so happy for him, had the pleasure of spending two days with him about 2 months ago. We really didn't accomplish much, but we had a time catching up.
I just want to say I truly loved jeff, and he will be missed more than any of my words can express.

I believe Jeff's soul was just too excited to stay as a human physical body for any longer...He gave beautiful life lessons to so many people...and will forever continue to develop many people's understanding of just WHAT life is..

I am still a little in shock since getting the phone call of Jeff's passing. Jeff and I worked together for a few years and worked alot of the same shifts so we would often hang out after work. Jeff was my movie buddy... we loved going to scary movies together and then making fun of how bad they were after! He had such an imaginative mind... he always had his way of making every movie we saw better! He was always such a good friend to me... when my dad had some health problems... Jeff was the one I turned to. He was there for me through it all, making sure I was ok and he always made sure I stayed positive. Our lives went in different directions for awhile and I never got a chance to tell him how grateful I was to him during that time. I am however happy that we ran into each other this summer and we got a chance to catch up. I got the chance to tell him how proud I was of him for turning his life around and I was so happy to see that he was finally starting the see the great person in himself that I always knew was there! the last time we talked he just seemed so genuinely happy and excited about life and everything that meant for him now and I'm just so happy that I have that memory along with so many others to think back on!
you will be greatly missed Jeff... thanks for being such a great friend!!! ♡

If there's anything I can say about jeffery is he was very charismatic.. I met jeffery while working at subway several years ago and a great friendship formed instantly. There were 2 of us that always spent time together with your son and It was truly a pleasure getting know such a amazing man. Jeffery always made me laugh and I would have to say his laugh was very infectious. I admire jerffery for his strength and charater. I will continue to be inspiried by the actions he took and the things he said while he was alive. He will live in my memories forever, he was a Great man!!</p>

Party in the USA
I don't know what to say really; Jeff and I met while working at subway and we hit it off straight away. He was a funny guy who just made your day!
After leaving subway we drifted apart but later met up while he was living behind the 1010 pub. I was a bartender there and Jeff would come and keep me company, play pool and enjoy some beverages. We reconnected and it couldn't have been a better time. We had many laughs, many memories made and many crazy times. We even had a dedicated song for hanging out that came on almost everytime we were together; "party in the USA"-Miley Cyrus! :/
I then left 1010 pub, but we kept in touch, probably not as much as we could have and I always harassed him considering we joked about being bffs. (Best friends forever) so we hung out here and there and always remenised about the good days and good times ahead.
I later moved to Australia for a year, but again he messaged me when he got the chance and told me all about how he was hitting the straight path. I was so happy for him, he's a smart guy who had loads going for him. I moved home recently and ran into him and we had actually planned to get together for coffee and a catch up.
I'm sad to say that our meet up didn't happen and now he is gone; but he will always be remembered! He was always there when I needed him, whether for a laugh or just to keep me company!!
He will be dearly missed but never forgotten!! He had the best laugh and that will forever be engraved in my heart and memory!! Rest easy jeffy!! Love you forever
