Obituary of Chelsey Kim Barber

Chelsey Kim Barber 1987 – 2014 Chelsey Kim Barber was born on August 14, 1987 in Nelson, British Columbia. She was the youngest daughter of Mike and Lori Barber and little sister to Mallori and Jake. She spent her younger years in Yellowknife, and then in 1995, the family moved to an acreage in the Dawson Creek area. Chelsey went to elementary school in Pouce Coupe, and high school in Dawson Creek. Following graduation, she worked at the Casino in Dawson Creek as well as the Bay Tree General Store. Chelsey started dating Calvin Jones in 2006 and they had many adventures together. She loved everything outdoors - camping, quading, dirt biking, boating and fishing. Chelsey’s pride and joy was her son Waylon, born in 2011. She was a wonderful mother, and loved her son immensely. Chelsey was very strong willed and never gave up. After beating cancer the first time she vowed to live life to the fullest. She had no fear. After a second diagnosis she proved again what a fighter she was. Sadly, on Christmas Day, December 25, 2014 Chelsey passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones. Chelsey will be lovingly remembered and missed by her fiancée Calvin, son Waylon, father Mike, brother Jake (Stephanie), sister Mallori and many others whose lives and hearts she touched.
