David Tibbetts

Obituary of David Florian Tibbetts

David was born in Edmonton, Alberta July 19, 1953. As a youngster, the family moved to Dawson Creek and then to Pouce Coupe where he grew up, married, and his sons Matt and John were born. Dave was a heavy duty mechanic and worked in the Peace Region most of his career. He loved to tinker and always had a collection of various projects to work on. Dave loved the freedom of living in the country and the work and rewards that came with it. His circle of friends was wide and varied. He was a carefree easy going guy most of the time and always willing to lend a hand. He enjoyed hanging out with friends and family sharing laughs and a beer and swapping stories. From his time spent with the Dawson Creek Timing Association to his years living on the farm at Pouce and his affiliation with the Hogsback Riders Association where the annual rodeo and pig roast was the highlight of the summer to his time spent in Fort St. John and his years in Goodlow, his stories told his life. His antics earned him the affectionate nickname "Uncle Bonehead”. He definitely left his mark on this earth, he was loved dearly, and will be remembered and missed by many. David was predeceased by his parents Millard Tibbetts and June Tibbetts Dunseith, son John, and brother Gary. He will be deeply missed by his son Matt (Marina), grandsons Jordan and Jacob, granddaughter Jessica, sister Cathy Curle (Don), sister-in-law Linda, numerous nieces and nephews, and his Goodlow family. Rest easy Davey…cheers bro
