Obituary of Freda Frostad
On November 21, 2017, Freda Frostad of Grande Prairie, Alberta passed away at the age of 92. Freda will be missed by her children Rick (Barb), Georgina (John), Cheryl, Yvonne (Andre), Gary (Donna), and Betty (Stan); her nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, her brothers Lee (Lois) and Nesly (Jean), sister-in-law Tiny, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Earl, her sister Elsie, her brother Jim, and her stepson Dwayne.
Freda was born on November 28, 1924 on the family homestead near Hespero, Alberta. In June 1943 she was proud to enlist and serve in the RCAF Women’s Division.
Freda enjoyed traveling with Earl in their fifth wheel, playing cards with family and friends, and she was always working on a craft whether it was knitting, crochet, cross stitch, or bunka.
A funeral service will be November 28, 2017 at 1pm at the Eureka River Hall, officiated by Pastor Al Fraser. Interment to follow the service in the Eureka River Cemetery,
