I send my heartfelt condolences to Arlene's family.
In the early 1970's I spent many enjoyable visits with Arlene when her family lived near Giscome. She taught me how to do leather work, especially carving. I remember the beautifully carved rifle stock displayed above their doorway. Arlene always said, "If you want to learn a new hobby, just ask me to help. I’ve probably done it." I got a kick out of her three Jersey cows. Sometimes they liked to go for a stroll down the road to Carlsons. If she saw them headed out past the house, she would just call out, "Blondie, where do you think you’re going?!" Blondie, being lead cow, would look at her, then turn around and lead the other two back in the yard! (Foiled again!")
