Alisha Reynolds

Obituary of Alisha Reynolds

Alisha Mae Reynolds was born June 14, 1982 in Edmonton, Alberta to parents Tom Reynolds and Iris Berg. Born three months early and not expected to survive, Alisha was naturally stubborn and a fighter, proving everyone wrong. Throughout her life, she would continue to prove everyone wrong and do things her own way.

Alisha would end up being the oldest of two children to Tom and Iris; a sister, Amie, would be welcomed into the family in August of 1983. Like most siblings, disagreements would occur but as they got older, they became each other’s support system. If you saw one, the other wouldn’t be far behind.

Growing up, Alisha’s interests varied. A love of animation, comics, video games, and computers would thrive throughout her life. She also loved learning and would spend hours online watching documentaries and how-to videos, which is how she learned to crochet and expand her knitting abilities that she learned from her grandmother Yuvonne.

When’s Alisha’s health began to decline in 2006, her social life occurred more and more online. She would spend hours with friends from around the world playing video games, watching movies, or taking tours around Japan’s temples courtesy of her best friend. Those friends became a vital connection over the years.

Alisha will be lovingly remembered by her father Tom; sisters Amie and Trina (Tim) Gibson; grandmother Mildred Reynolds; nieces and nephew Christina, Savanna, Harley, and Colten Gibson; and numerous family and friends.

Alisha is predeceased by her mother Iris (Berg) Reynolds, and grandparents Doug and Yuvonne Berg, and Bill Reynolds.

We would like to thank Dr. Du Plessis and the nursing staff at the Dawson Creek and District Hospital for their compassion and care. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. For friends so wishing, in place of flowers, donations may be made in Alisha’s memory to the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation, 800 College Plaza, 8215 112 Street, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 2C8.
