Obituary of Jordan Pindera

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jordan Lee Pindera, long-time resident of Tumbler Ridge, British Columbia, on December 30, 2020 at the age of 66 years.  

Jordan was born on July 10, 1954 in Mission City, British Columbia to Edward and Evelyn Pindera.

Jordan married Josephine Marie Edwards on February 2, 1980 and they enjoyed the last 37 years living in Tumbler Ridge.  Jordan worked for 17 years at Quintette Coal, then at Bullmoose Operating Corporation, Pelly, Tercon, Wolverine Mine, Chilko Construction and with the District of Tumbler Ridge for the past 8 years in the Public Works Department, primarily at the recycling building.

Jordan was a member of the Knights of Columbus, he loved fishing, working on cars, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren.

Jordan is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Josephine(Josey); his children Agnes, Geoffrey, Ashley and Tracey; grandchildren Julia, Emmalynn and Haley.  Siblings Don (Wendy) Florence, Jim (Mary-Ann) Florence, Dorothy Barnes, Carol Peters, Gail Potts and Lorna (Rick) Magill.  Brothers-in-law: Neil (Elizabeth) Edwards, John (Kelly) Edwards, Roy Edwards.  Sisters-in-law:  Bridget Levesque, Noella Jollimore, Emma Strickland (Lawrence King), June Edwards (Rick Fleming), Melita (Brud) Hodge. He is also survived by his best friend Denis (Marie) Marcheterre and a large number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Jordan was predeceased by his father Edward Pindera and his Mom and Dad, Evelyn and Tom Florence; parents-in-law John and Bridget Edwards; son in law, Charlie Merdha, Brothers: Allen Pindera, John, Guy, Paul, and Howard Florence; sisters Bonnie Pindera and Marie Phillips; sisters-in-law Agnes Edwards, Theresa Stacey, and brothers-in-law Ambrose Edwards and Ambrose Edwards Jr., Andre Strickland, Patrick Levesque, Herman Phillips, John Barnes and Timothy Peters. He was also predeceased by his Auntie Kay Evans and his dear friend Elaine Marcheterre. 

The family would like to thank the staff at the Tumbler Ridge Health Centre, Dawson Creek Hospital and the Fort St. John Hospital for the support and care they provided.
