Obituary of Sharlene Smith
Sharlene Smith
December 31, 1969 - January 1, 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sharlene Amanda Smith on January 1, 2021 at the age of 51 years.
Sharlene was predeceased by her parents, Doris and Sidney Smith, as well as her brother Ryan. She is survived by step-father: Gary and her siblings: Debbie, Darlene, Sid (Diana), Sandra and Delores. She was also a loving mother of two: John and Brittney.
Sharlene will be forever remembered for her kindness and compassion. She was known for always going above and beyond for anyone. She would take the shirt off her back if you needed it. She was always smiling and laughing, a laugh that you could never forget; both were so contagious. She loved music, she had a beautiful singing voice if you were ever privileged enough to hear it. She spent her youth in Tumbler Ridge, with her partner in crime Pamela. If she wasn't with her, she was in Nanaimo with her Uncle Al adventuring on the boat, spending days on New Castle Island. She raised her children in Prince George, spending her time as a hairdresser, working for Big Brother and Big Sisters. She loved to play scrabble, have water fights, but above all else she loved to banter.
As life went on she found a deep enjoyment in flagging with her sister Darlene. It was one of her most memorable employments with stories that would last a lifetime. She valued her friendships and her family above all else, one of her last chapters was spent taking care of her mom. She missed her so much, it is with great sadness but also with great comfort that they have found one another again. Sharlene had an old soul, a deep wisdom which she shared with those who needed it.
Sharlene was a beautiful person and loved by many. She will be missed dearly and forever remembered.
Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
