Obituary of Bruce Deuxberry

Bruce Edward Deuxberry - After a short, difficult, battle with Cancer, Bruce passed away on Monday, March 22, 2021, in Dawson Creek, B.C. in his 74th year. Bruce was born in Hamilton, Ontario. The first born, and only son, of the late Ron and Pearl Deuxberry.

He was an active and curious boy, with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. Bruce loved to work with his hands and had a brilliant mind for math. This lead him to an apprenticeship in the Tool and Die trade and a lifetime career, with many accomplishments, in this industry. He retired from Fisher Gage, in Peterborough, Ontario in 2008, and moved with his loving wife Carol Coons to his long time family cottage on Paudash Lake.

Bruce had spent many years with his family at the cottage, swimming, scuba diving, boating, fishing and dirt biking. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, and spent many hours touring the countryside on his Harley. Bruce was also an avid Hunter. Every November, in Ontario, he would spend time with his friend Jim setting up his hut and hunting for deer.

Bruce has been described by his friends as a, “true friend”, “one of a kind”, “they broke the mould when they made him!” He had a unique, enjoyable, funny sense of humour, that entertained many, and he was loved by all who knew him.

Bruce moved with his loving wife to Pouce Coupe, B.C. in 2010 and spent the rest of his retirement enjoying the beautiful B.C. countryside, and time spent with family and friends.
