Obituary of Mira Popović
Mira Popović, resident of the Rotary Manor, Dawson Creek, BC passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at the age of 89.
Mira was born on August 4, 1931 in Vrba, Yugoslavia. Mira married Dragisa in 1953 and they had their son, Stan, in 1955. In 1967 Dragisa immigrated to Hudson Hope, BC, to join his brother. Dragisa later moved to Chetwynd and Mira and Stan arrived in 1970 as Dragisa had bought a house and was working at the Canfor Mill.
Mira loved to have company drop in and would always have some baking to go with the coffee or would prepare a big meal. Mira was known for her vegetable and flower gardens which she maintained until she moved into the Rotary Manor.
Mira was predeceased by her husband, Dragisa, in January 2005. Mira is survived by her son Stan, daughter-in-law Judy, grandchildren Tijana (Mark) and Kyle (Angie), and four great-grandchildren Abigail, Roark, Poppy, and Evie.
Mira will be laid to rest at the Tuscoola Mountain Cemetery in Chetwynd, BC.
