Obituary of Donald Waldie
It is with devastated hearts we announce the passing of our husband and father Donald William Waldie on May 10, 2021, at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver.
Don was born in Dawson Creek, BC on July 19th, 1952, to Jim and Mary-Ellen Waldie.
He is pre-deceased by his parents Jim and Mary-Ellen Waldie, Mother-In-Law Marj Wezner, Brother and Sister-In-Law Lorne and Brenda Waldie, Brother-In-Law Stan Parr and Nephew Jamie Keddy.
Don is survived by his Wife Shawn, Daughter Robyn, and Randy (Rolene), Brothers Jim (Dorothy), David, Rick (Lise), Sheldon (Leona) and sisters Ellen and Sheila (Andrew) plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Don was a logger, equipment operator, farmer, man of the land and son of Mother Earth. He loved his family deeply and he will be greatly missed for the rest of our days.
A Celebration of Life will be held from Saturday July 17th – Sunday July 18th, starting at 2pm at the farm in Groundbirch, BC.
For those who wish to do so, donations may be made in Donnie’s memory to the Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit at St. Paul’s Hospital at 1081 Burrard St, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1Y6.
