Alan Stringer

Obituary of Alan Stringer

It is with profound sadness that the family of Alan Paul Stringer announce his passing on Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at the age of 51, following a courageous battle with cancer.  Al had a zest for life, and was always up for some fun.  He lived for the day, and lived it to the fullest, with a passion for motorcycles and boats.

Alan was born in Manchester, England on December 26, 1969 to Suzanne and Alan Stringer.  The family immigrated to Canada in 1972 and landed in Calgary, Alberta.  They lived there for 10 years before moving to Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, and subsequently moving to Grande Prairie, Alberta in 1986, where he met his future bride.  They married in 1993 and welcomed 2 children.  The family moved to Dawson Creek, BC in 2011, where they built their dream home.  Al worked very hard and had a successful career in the oil and gas industry, as well as many creative projects and hobbies on the side.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years, Wendy, his daughter Cassandra and son Cameron; parents Alan and Suzanne Stringer; sisters Amanda (Darryl) Reimer and Yvonne White; as well as his in-laws, extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Alan will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 at Reynars Funeral Chapel at 1:00pm.

For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of Alan, to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1100 Alward Street, Prince George, British Columbia V2M 7B1

Very Respectfully, Reynars Funeral Home & Crematorium
