Obituary of Rita Mead
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Mead, long time resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia on January 13, 2022 at the age of 85 years. She was born February 15, 1936 in Elbow, Saskatchewan. Rita had lived in Gundy, Alberta, and Dawson Creek for over 50 years. Her kind and giving heart, volunteer spirit, cheerful smile and playful humour will be missed.
Rita will be missed by her children, Glen and Carolyn (Andre), and grandchildren, Miriya, Olivia, and Nicole, as well as other family and friends.
Rita is predeceased by her son, David, and grandson, Christopher.
With respect to Rita’s wishes there will be no formal Funeral Service. For friends so wishing donations may be made in memory of Rita to the SPCA South Peace Branch. 11418 3rd Street, Dawson Creek, BC V1G 4L5, Canada.
