Obituary of John Kropp

John Kropp, age 93, of Dawson Creek, BC, peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 25, 2022.    A Celebration of Life fo John will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 3:30 at the Alliance Church with a luncheon to follow.    For friends so wishing, donations may be made in memory of John to the Christian Blind Mission at www.cbmcanada.org.   

John was born on November 25, 1928 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25^th, 2022, at the age of 93 years.   

He married Lydia on July 20^th, 1951 and was a devoted husband and father to their children, Marvin, Shirley, Dennis and Debbie    He was a hard worker, but always made time for the family’s annual camping trip to Scotch Creek in the Shuswaps.    He was a familiar face around town as he delivered milk for NADP for many years.    As the family grew, and he added 2 daughter-in-laws, a son-in-law, and 8 grandchildren, his favourite times were always spending time with his beloved grandchildren.    He retired at age 60 and became a familiar volunteer at many places such as Camp Sagitawa, the Alliance Church, Red Cross and YWAM.     He was a quiet presence in his preferred place of working behind the scenes.   In his more recent years, he gained so much pleasure from watching his great-grandchildren play.   He often spoke of how his life was so blessed.
