Obituary of Anthony Buck

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Anthony Buck, a resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at the age of 86 years.

Anthony (Tony) Buck passed away July 24, 2022, shortly after celebrating his 86^th birthday.

Tony was born July 23, 1936, on a farm in Stuartburn, Manitoba.  He left home at an early age, moving to Alberta where he worked various jobs before becoming a heavy-duty equipment operator with various construction companies building highways.  He became a lifelong member with Operating Engineers.  Tony met his wife Eva in Edmonton, Alberta and then they moved to Dawson Creek, BC where they lived in their home for over 50 years.  Tony was also a member of the Royal Order of the Elks while living in Dawson Creek.

He was predeceased by his wife Eva in 2021; parents Alex and Lena Buck; brothers John Buck, Bill Buck, and Jarvis Buck; sister Gloria Chobatar; brother in-laws Joe Tracy and Maurice Fosty.

He is survived by his children, daughter Connie, son Doug (Laurel) and daughter Laura (Alex); grandchildren Tyron (Chelsea), Paige (Brian), Haiden, Shaina (Remy), Kaitlin (Scott), Ethan (Tiana), Brodi, Cole, Chase, and a great granddaughter Melia along with several grand puppies; sisters Jean Tracy, Elsie (Bill) Kohut, Olga Fosty; brother Maurice (Florence) Buck;  brothers-in-law Nick Chobatar and Lourie; sister-in-law Luba (Ted); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
