Anita Michelle Abma
December 28, 1964-August 20, 2022
It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Anita on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at her home in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, at the age of 57 years.
A tea to celebrate Anita’s life was held for her friends and family in Dawson Creek on September 9, 2022.
Anita’s wishes were to be laid to rest beside her father John Abma at Cedar Memorial Gardens in Nanaimo, British Columbia.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cedar Community Hall, 2388 Cedar Rd, Nanaimo, BC, on September 23, 2022, from 1:30-3:30 pm
Anita had a loving, beautiful heart, we will miss her terribly. Those who knew her, also knew how stubborn she was and what a fierce mother and friend she was.
I wish Mom was here to see us, gathered around to say goodbye.
I wish Mom was here to tell us, now is not the time to cry.
I wish I could have told her all her love had meant to me.
I wish she could have helped me through another crisis or three.
All these things and more I wish, but I do not have the words to say
How much I wish I wish I wish that she were still alive today.
