Obituary of Kristine Kezer

Its with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kristine Viola Kezer, resident of Dawson Creek, British Columbia, on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the age of 41 years.   She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and coworkers who ventured through life with her.

Many of us can agree that Kristine sought after meaningful life experiences no matter the outcome. Those of us who were lucky enough to be a part of her life, will forever carry an exceeding amount of gratitude for the time we spent with her.  She had a smile and a contagious laugh that could fill any room with immediate joy. Her presence made you feel at home and comfortable being yourself.  She was known to wear her heart on her sleeve and help anyone she could, even if she was struggling too.  She was truly beautiful inside and out, with a heart of gold.

She made many memories along the way, mostly on the road blasting her favourite tunes and singing her heart out being her gypsy self. She traveled from one city to the next, visiting her many friends and family, bringing them gifts she had ordered online or something she seen in a store and knew you just had to have it.  You could always find Kristine with people she loved, or making magic in the kitchen where she worked many years as a chef all over BC and Alberta. This is where co-workers soon became friends and family to her.  She had a reputation for having the best style, music and food in all the area, she never had to look for work it came to her.  She was one of the best as she would say!  Many of us have so many memories of baking, cooking, singing, shopping and going on road trips with Kristine. Memories we will all cherish.

Her style and beauty were like no other, she was original and one of a kind.  You could always count on her to have a good time whatever it was, and you just knew it would be memorable.  We are all better people to have known her and carry her memory with us daily. 

If we had to write all the people, places and things Kristine was good at and loved, it would be pages long.  We ask everyone to hold onto those memories, think of her often.  Laugh, cry and lean on each other in these harder times as we navigate through the loss of someone so special and so loved.  We all love you Kristine and you are missed and loved endlessly.  

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at St Marks Anglican Church at 10:00am
