Condolences to both the Lindsay and Waldo families. My first memory of Helen was around 1955 give or take. Was at Mrs. Tiipton’s store and she was on her horse we then rode down the valley to Uncle Bill’s place and spent hours in the bush and trees exploring. I rode with on her way home about half way and she carried on riding across the old wooden East Pine bridge. Over the years she visited and some family talk and reminiscing. Yes she was a lady of faith, love of her family, love of nature and gardening. Will miss you Hellen.

Sending my sincere condolences to all the family.
Helen was a busy lady, her love for the farm and horses and gardening, preserving, drying was prevalent in her life. If one needed a concoction of herbs Helen would be the first to call. Helen I am sure would have the recipe to heal you from one thing or another with total natural dried herbs. It wasn’t unusual to see Helen riding solo in the community pasture, with her bedroll and saddle bags full of food and snacks for the ride. Helen loved to refinish and varnish, countless amount of times visited the old Elliott’s Homestead and slapping a new colour of paint on some of the walls and leaving behind traps or something to deal with the latest rodent visitors. Spent many a time on her own there. The love of riding her horses was constant, with her outback hat riding proud on her steed, don’t know for sure, but the smile on her face was a given. Helen could easily be found in the garden on the farm, forever preserving and storing in the cellar for the winter and days to come. Always loved that potato salad she made, the fresh garden spuds I’m sure had a lot to do with it as well. Helen studied Reflexology, she knew the practice well, I booked several apnmts with her. Helen new her stuff, the strength in her hands were next to none, though the apnmt would take a little time to begin for we all know she was a very busy lady. Helen always had some sweeping to do, throw some grub together, telling a story all the while. Once sitting and working on your feet though, it was well worth the wait. Helen loved her family in her own way, enjoyed have the Grandkids coming around the farm. I have to have a little giggle remembering some of the voice mail Helen would leave behind, would at times go from a short messeng to a conversation she started having with whom ever was in the room, to talking of where where she left this or that. Quite entertaining at times.
Well Helen you may be gone from this Earth, but I feel your happier than ever, riding your favourite horse over the hills. Watching over your family and with a smile of content on your face. Rest easy, ride gallantly.
