I am so sad to hear of Lorne's passing. He was a great inspiration to me and a good friend. I have some really good special memories of the time I spent working with him at Zero Esso. My sincere condolences Gail and family.

Gail, Terry, Laurel and all the extended family.
My deepest condolences.
I don’t remember how old I was when I met Lorne, May be 12 or 13. I started to work for Lorne when I was 14 or 15. I wasn’t old enough to drive so I would walk to the machine shop after school and when we were done work Lorne would give me a ride home. Over the years I worked for Lorne at the machine shop and on the farm. Years later, when I would return to Dawson, a necessary stop was always Lorne and Gail’s for a coffee, good story and to see what Lorne’s latest project was. Lorne was more than my employer and mentor. He was always a great friend.

Howard and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Lorne’ family. Howard has many memories of him and Lorne working on different projects and after the work was done then they could be found discussing motors etc over a cold beer. He will be missed but will be remembered for his friendship and always being willing to help whenever Howard needed it.
